Contact Us form

The “Contact Us” form has some very unique elements. It is one of the most interactive screens that can be built into the app. It allows the end user to bring information back to the app’s creator/owner.

This form can be used in a variety of ways. For example: to request the information, ask a question, or even share a story.

What you type in the text area is dependent on what this form seeks to do. For example,  if it is to ask a question, click on the default “Request Information” at the top of the screen and change title in the to “Ask a question” in the editor’s text box.

In sharing your own information ex. Name or email address, the text area boxes can be used. You can enter multiple text area boxes.

Each created field has a property called “grey text” or “inline text,” which allows the end user to overwrite their answers in all such created fields.

If the field is a story, it may require more space for texts. The text mode provides the option to either have a single line or multi lines. If you select multiline, as the user types, lines will keep being added as needed.

If you are requesting an email address or phone number, set the input type accordingly. Select phone for phone numbers and email for an mail address so that the system recognizes what it is being fed.

You can decide whether these fields are mandatory or not. For mandatory fields, select “True,” for non-mandatory fields, select “False.”

The end user passes on all provided information to the creator of the app by clicking the “Submit Request” button which can be changed to say something else (For example, “Submit Your Story” simply by clicking on the button and editing in the button text box.

For student-created apps, the recipient email address column should always be the student’s email while the CC section takes the teacher’s email address. This way, the teacher is able to monitor all emails that that student receives as the app is being developed. The title of the email goes in the email subject box.

You also have the option to include a response to the end user when they submit their information. This, too, can be modified to suit the creator’s needs.
